Overfast Lightweight Alloy Chainring
Lightweight Hollowed | 50-34 or 52-36T | BCD 110x4 | Alu 7075-T651 | ~159g (50-34T), ~174g (52-36T)
While most components fromĀ OverfastĀ are made from carbon fibre, these chainrings are made from aluminium. Not just any alloy, but with 7075-T651.
The base alloy of 7075 offers exceptionally high tensile and fatigue strength.
T651 is heat-treated and aged to maximum strength, followed by stress-relief via a controlled mechanical pre-stretching process, which greatly reduces internal stresses, minimising warping and distortion for precise machining.
Certain sections of the chainring were hollowed out to optimise weight without compromising on stiffness.
